East Valley Cultural Offerings

Lots going on in January in east valley cultural offerings. Check out these events.

As a Real Estate agent helping people new to the valley, and as a member of the City of Chandler Human Relations Commission I’m proud of our community for all they do to celebrate diversity. 2018 is poised to be a wonderful example of how we honor a variety of cultures with a number of east valley cultural offerings.

Beginning in January, there’s a whole lot going on that you will want to know about and participate in.

EVJCC offers a holocaust exhibit in Chandler

One of the many east valley cultural offerings is the East valley JCC holocaust exhibit held at the Chandler Center for the Arts on January 11th.

On January 11th, the East Valley JCC will have an exhibit at the Chandler Center for the Arts. You’ll have an opportunity to see an authentic rail car used in the holocaust to transport victims of the nazi regime; You’ll hear from Polish heroes who risked their lives to save Jews; A dramatic theatrical performance about the Polish underground and one extremely brave “Auschwitz Volunteer”. This should not be missed!

The 2nd annual Chandler International Film Festival begins January 12th and we are so fortunate to have this east valley cultural offering for all to enjoy. It may not be Sundance, but it’s bigger and better than last year. Over 150 films will be screened over the four evenings throughout downtown Chandler, and you’ll have the opportunity to rub elbows with some big names stars, directors and producers as well as attend a world premier film and award ceremony. For you serious film-makers, there will be workshops to attend to hone your skills and learn from the experts.

On January 14th, from 5:00 – 7:00pm celebrate the progress we’ve made on civil rights by joining in a candlelight vigil for Dr. Martin Luther King. The Chandler downtown stage will be alight with the spirit of bringing people together in unity. A peaceful east valley cultural offering that will be shared by many.
